FLUID MECHANICS LABORATORY

IN MEMORIAM

Greg McCauley (1981-2011)

Greg was born in Clovis, CA in 1981. He graduated from Buchanan High School in 1999.
He completed a B.S. and M.S. in Engineering and was finishing his Ph.D. in Fluid
Mechanics from UC Berkeley. He was recently hired to research at Lawrence
Livermore National Laboratory.

On September 20, 2011, his 30th birthday, Greg died in his sleep of natural causes.
We will miss so many things about Greg, including his Kung Pao chicken, his taste
for wit and satire, his ability to tinker, his time reading with his nephews and
nieces and his great hugs! Greg was involved in 4-H Computer Corps, was an avid
gamer, and was a member of Cal Alumni and a variety of other clubs.
